Richard King, partner at Bignon De Keyser, leads the team’s UK practice, based in London. He has had over 30 years’ experience working at Board level in international law firms and multi-disciplinary practices.

Richard has advised law firms on key transformation projects, including the implementation of new practice management systems, the development of legal technology strategies, and the creation of legal operations teams to improve law firm productivity and profitability.

He has worked with firms on their international growth plans, structuring and building operations in new markets, and advised on governance, succession and partnership planning.

He continues to support legal practices and in-house lawyers internationally with their learning and development programmes, designing, developing and delivering training in professional skills and areas such as collaboration, fee negotiations, practice and team management.

Before joining Bignon De Keyser, Richard had responsibility in international law firms for teams and initiatives focused on learning and development, legal operations (practice efficiency and productivity) and international strategy (including merger integration).

He is a qualified English solicitor with a background as a corporate lawyer in the City of London. He was a partner at Andersen and chief legal operations officer at Herbert Smith Freehills.
